Motoring

Although I enjoy a nicely designed automobile - I will never be confused with a gear head.  My cars have been generally sparse (my last car did not have power windows which caused significant confusion among my kids friends).  Perhaps my automobile choice is a reaction to my Mom's Cadillacs that were well appointed but fell short in such minor areas such as the brakes and engine.

Below are some pictures with automobiles as a backdrop to the photo....

I am sure we were all safe in the back seat of that....
Believe this is Nan being dropped off at OSU but not sure where the Olds is from..
The Kuhn clan at the farmers market

Rental car we had during the Blizzard of 1978.  I am sure that got good traction in 30 inches of snow.
Kids in Brad Krake's Sebring.  Looks like Kelsey just finished a healthy snack.
Old school convertible picture.  In AZ with our Circle K Thirstbusters
Ingrid and Oscar - looks like the Grand Canyon.
The Chevy van !  Good thing I am wearing that sweatband.

Catherine doing the back of the pickup initiation in SD
Old School SD picture.  Not sure who these boys are....

Brett and Kelsey unloading the Veracruz on the 2008 road trip.

Crusing in a Caddy

Familiar scene in our Dodge Grand Caravan.  The first car I bought new.

Dad - ready to drive.

My very sporty 1999 Hyundai Elantra buried in the snow.
Plenty of nice wheels out at Aunt Jane's in Hudson WI.   Hope somebody told me to pull my pants up a bit higher.

Brett and Kelsey in Jeff's Acura - parked in front of 21 Hastings in Belmont.

Looks like Grandpa Kuhn was in a smash-up derby.  I wish I still had those pants to give to Molly.

  1. I am disappointed that the 52 Studebaker photo did not get in. Other comments, Uncle Gay is with Ingrid and Oscar. The two guys on the 51 Ford are Lance and Don Olen. But both Ford and the license are backwards, as is SD. The Hudson WI picture is of a 1960 Plymouth Fury.

    Much fun.

    1. Yes Hudson. I believe that could only be when you brought your whole family to Nana and Bapas 50th anniversary shindig. Honestly, I don't recall any other times. Can you?

What a blast from that tiny piece of my past.

  2. The Hudson Wisconsin picture was of a gathering for Ingrid and Oscar's 50th wedding anniversary at Aunt Jane's.
