Cactus Classic

I spent 4.5 wonderful years in the desert and, although I am not sure I would want to live there year round, enjoy going back for visits.  I enjoy the heat, the abundant sunshine and the laid back lifestyle.  Here are some pictures of visits to AZ.
My dorm freshman year at ASU.  Like most things from my era - this no longer exists.  I was not even aware I owned long pants when I lived in AZ

Playing Golf at the ASU golf course - I think at Jeff's bachelor weekend.  With college buddies Brad and Kurt.  Wish I played more golf during my time at ASU - it was pretty cheap for students.  Although carrying my clubs on my Schwinn was a challenge.
My one of two visits to Tuscon where I was not arrested

Me and my lovely bride at the top of Squaw peak on the recent trip
Interesting crew at the Fiesta Inn in Tempe.  Jeff, Me, Nan, Greg King, Scott Gordon (roomate), Brent Glaspie (cousin) and Dad.
Jean Shorts !

Jeff and Catherine - South Mountain ?

Brett and Kelsy outside the ASU library - where I told them I spent ALL of my time !
I miss those shorts.
Living large in Wickenburg.
Not much of a desert scene but nothing says Arizona like a 32oz Circle K Thirstbuster.  Take that Mayor Boomberg.
Captain of Industry.

Palm Walk at ASU.

During our courting period.  Karen would never let me wear that tanktop today.

Soaking up the sun

  1. Dear Greg,

You chronicle some wonderful memories of our times in AZ. I especially appreciate your comments.

You have a great talent for doing this, and I always look forward to the next missive.
